Wednesday, May 26 Playa del Carmen

There are many more people here than at Isla Holbox. There are several hotels of all types included. The water is turquoise and inviting. We will also be on the pedestrian street, but the many touts make it less enjoyable. On this street, we find all the souvenir trinkets that may exist ... The fact that we are in low season we can enjoy the beach not crowded. It was read at Cancun there were 27.000 and 25.000 rooms in Playa del Carmen! It's the world!

Unfortunately, our last days in Mexico will not be very gourmet. It is easier to find a fast food restaurant, a real little Mexican restaurant, cheap Mexican ... It does not matter, we fall back on sushi WalMart!

We leave Playa del Carmen and take the bus to Cancun to 26 pesos pp. The ticket sellers are doing everything that we take ADO to 40 pesos, but we insist.

From Cancun, we must take a small port for collectivo Juarez 4km from the center. A big 5.5 pesos for the trip. Subsequently ferry to Isla Mujeres. It is believed to have taken the most expensive ferry, although it must be another more economical. The trip cost us 70 pesos pp. We arrive on the island after 15 minutes. We are going in the pedestrian street and a man offers us a room with AC and bathroom for 250pesos, why not AC for once!

We stay two days on the island and start walking to his discovery. We go to Playa easily Rancheros (about 5km) walking west side and make the return on the east side. The restaurants seem a poor value for money and therefore we decide to cook for us last time.

The place is not bad, but for us who do not like how the shrimp on the beach, it lacks a few things to do.

We take the ferry back, we'll stay a few days in Cancun before flying home.
